BULATSA welcomed the European Union Aviation Safety Agency

BULATSA representatives met today with a delegation from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), led by the Executive Director, Mr. Florian Guillermet. The meeting was also attended by the Director General of Directorate General Civil Aviation Administration (DG CAA), Mrs. Anelia Marinova, as well as representatives of the regulatory authority.
This is the second visit of EASA to Bulgaria in the last seven years and further evidence of the sustainable partnership between the European regulator and Bulgarian stakeholders. The visit also confirms the key role of the enterprise in achieving the common European goals in air traffic management.
At the meeting BULATSA presented its achievements in the provision of air navigation services in the conditions of constantly growing air traffic, an increasingly complex operational environment and accelerated introduction of new technologies. As one of the leading air navigation service providers in Europe, the enterprise continues to work actively with the European institutions and partners to introduce innovative solutions, increase operational efficiency and maintain the highest safety standards.
Later that day, BULATSA hosted a working meeting between EASA, DG CAA and representatives of the aviation industry in Bulgaria. The participants discussed the main challenges facing the regulatory framework of the European Union and emphasized the need to adapt to the dynamic socio-economic conditions, encourage technological innovation and create a more flexible legislative environment.
The general opinion was that exactly these factors will be decisive for the sustainable and long-term development of the aviation sector both in Bulgaria and in Europe.
