“Open Days” at BULATSA

BULATSA Academy announces the start of its spring campaign to recruit candidates for the profession of air traffic controller. As every year, Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority (BULATSA) invites all those wishing to be trained for this highly qualified and responsible profession to submit their documents online, through the website of the enterprise, by 30 March inclusive. After this date the admission of documents shall continue, but those admitted to selection will be redirected for the autumn session at the end of the year.

The training at BULATSA Academy has duration of two years, whereby a monthly scholarship is provided for the entire period. The Academy is the only certified organization in Bulgaria for training air traffic controllers, in accordance with the requirements of the European Union and the applicable national legislation.

As part of the campaign, BULATSA is also organizing the traditional “Open Days”, which will be held on 6 February, 19 February and 13 March. Visitors will have the opportunity to attend a presentation by experts from BULATSA Academy, observe the work of the Area Air Traffic Control Center in real time, view training simulators and ask their questions related to the profession and the activities of the enterprise.

For the first time, professional development opportunities in the field of technical activity will also be presented. Visitors will learn about the role of the engineering teams that maintain and develop high-tech air traffic management and safety systems and the positions for which they can apply.

Due to the special rules for access to the building of BULATSA, all registered participants must carry an identity document and be on site not later than 8:45 a.m.
