In 2008 the BULATSA introduced into service the new automated system for air traffic management SATCAS V. 2. Successful completion of this project is a prerequisite for the merger of the airspace management of the Republic of Bulgaria in a single area of flight information - Sofia. It includes all the country's airspace and the Black Sea area, where we provide air navigation services.

From a new centre in Sofia BULATSA serves the entire Bulgarian airspace. We are proud of the fact that through the system the consolidation of different types of services we provide and optimization of the use of the airspace is achieved. In this way, Bulgaria successfully performs the tasks arising from the European Program for air traffic management and the requirements of the Single European Sky initiative.
